Mikeysline has welcomed a new face at their Inverness hive hub.
Former MFR Breakfast host Jodie McCluskey has joined the team as their newly appointed Communications Manager.
With a strong knowledge of the local area and a passionate mental health advocate, the Aviemore mum-of two hopes to utilise her news background and conversation skills to ensure the Mikeysline’s message is heard far and wide.
Jodie said, “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining the team at Mikeysline, a charity I have followed and supported from the very beginning. Being local to the Highlands and having spent the best part of two decades working in local media, I look forward to bringing my skillset to the hive, strengthening Mikeysline’s important message that it’s ok, not to be ok and that together we can bee the change. I’ve hit the ground running as we start to mark ten years of service in the Highlands, Islands and Moray, with lots of exciting campaigns planned which I very much look forward to sharing with you as I begin this new chapter.”
Emily Stokes, CEO for Mikeysline, said, “We couldn’t be more delighted to have Jodie join our team as this momentous time for our grass roots charity at the start of our tenth year and I’m sure with Jodie’s skills and expertise, that we will be able to shine the light even brighter in and with our communities this year on the crucial issues of mental health and suicide prevention.
“How we communicate and the language we use is key to making our services feel accessible to those who are struggling and to breaking down the stigma and any barriers that prevent people from reaching out for support when they most need to. We have lots of great things planned this year and as such, I’m absolutely thrilled to have Jodie who has always been passionate about the work we do, help ensure we get those messages out far and wide.”
