International Trade Missions

As part of a wider project supported by the Scottish Government, the Scottish Chambers of Commerce network are running a series of virtual trade missions to support Scottish companies with their ambitions to expand in international markets.

Our experienced international trade team are always on hand to assist and can offer specialist advice, consultancy and technical support to businesses across the Highlands and Islands region.

Ukraine Support

The devastating impact of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine remains clear. Whilst this situation is deeply worrying for many businesses, the British Chamber of Commerce network will continue to work closely with the UK Government to ensure businesses have as much advice, information and support as possible to make decisions , adapt to these circumstances and navigate the challenging times ahead. 

ChamberCustoms continue to offer free export declarations for humanitarian aid leaving the UK for Ukraine and the British Chamber of Commerce are offering advice and support for employees and workers, travel and visa advice as well as cyber security support.

How To Do Business with the UN Workshop

The United Nations procured goods and services for almost $30 billion in 2022.  The United Kingdom is the 3th largest country supplier to the UN and procurement from UK Suppliers reached a record high of $1.3 billion.  The top UN procurement categories include: Health, Pharmaceuticals, Medical, Lab equipment, Management & Admin Services, Engineering & Research Services, Transport & Logistics, IT & Communications Equipment.  The UK remained the largest supplier to the Public Order and Security Service segment.

The Department for Business & Trade’s (DBT) UN team will give an overview to delegates on how best to access the UN market place and insight into engaging with the UN supply chain and understand more about their procurement processes.

Virtual Trade Mission to Catalonia, Spain

Why Catalonia?

Catalonia, with its 7.7 million inhabitants, has the most competitive economy in Southern Europe. It accounts for 25% of the Spanish industry and has a GDP similar to that of Finland. Historically a trading nation, its strategic location in the Mediterranean and its transport infrastructures, as well as its entrepreneurial and business-friendly economy, have made it a top location in Europe. To add to that the capital city, Barcelona is an unbeatable meeting point for international business.

Scottish businesses have several opportunities in Catalonia’s key sectors, including:

About the Trade Mission

3rd Engineering & Healthcare Show

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan, is organizing the Engineering and Healthcare Show (EHCS), a premier event that unites the Engineering, Mineral and Healthcare domains under a single roof. The EHCS is scheduled to take place in Lahore, Pakistan from January 18-20, 2024.

 

Highlighting the prowess of Pakistan’s Engineering, Mineral and Healthcare, this show is the largest showcase of Pakistan’s engineering and healthcare products and technologies to global audience. Trade Delegation to Mumbai and Bangalore (Tech Summit)

In November 2023, the Department for International Trade will be leading a trade delegation of some of the UK’s most exciting technology companies to Bangalore Tech Summit.
