International Trade Missions

As part of a wider project supported by the Scottish Government, the Scottish Chambers of Commerce network are running a series of virtual trade missions to support Scottish companies with their ambitions to expand in international markets.

Technical Advice & Support

Navigating the world of international trade can be complex, with codes and acronyms sounding like a whole new language. Our experienced international trade team are always on hand to assist and can offer specialist advice, consultancy and technical support to businesses across the Highlands and Islands region.

Ukraine Support

The devastating impact of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine remains clear. Whilst this situation is deeply worrying for many businesses, the British Chamber of Commerce network will continue to work closely with the UK Government to ensure businesses have as much advice, information and support as possible to make decisions , adapt to these circumstances and navigate the challenging times ahead. 

ChamberCustoms continue to offer free export declarations for humanitarian aid leaving the UK for Ukraine and the British Chamber of Commerce are offering advice and support for employees and workers, travel and visa advice as well as cyber security support.

Virtual Trade Mission to Nova Scotia, Canada

Lochaber Chamber of Commerce is hosting a trade mission to Nova Scotia w/c 23rd June 2024 in partnership with Scottish Chambers of Commerce and the Scottish Government.

This mission will help businesses navigate international trade opportunities in the province of Nova Scotia, reaching out across the bustling capital city of Halifax, to other key locations and beyond.

What is involved?

As part of this trade mission delegates will receive market briefings on key opportunities in Nova Scotia, a networking event with business organisations in Halifax, and one-to-one business meetings with potential clients or trade partners in Nova Scotia, based on your company requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity to dip your toe in the water at a relatively low cost.

UK Department for Business and Trade – Bespoke new programme connecting UK startups with US opportunities – Apply to Receive $20,000 of Support.

The UK Department for Business and Trade is partnering with the inaugural CogX Festival US on Tuesday, May 7th at the Fairmont Century Plaza (Los Angeles, CA). CogX has been a leading UK tech event, anchoring London Tech Week for the past several years.

The event seeks to answer the question: “How do we get the next 10 years right?”

With their first US festival happening in Los Angeles, the conference will look at how technologies like AI are disrupting and creating new opportunities. As part of our partnership we’re supporting the CogX Transatlantic Accelerator to support UK Tech startups looking to expand to the US.  Apply to the link below to receive over $20,000 of support to participate in the festival and be a part of a bespoke programme of activities including matchmaking with US corporates at the conference.   Deadline for applications is Sunday 31st March 2024.
