Local businesses are invited to join Department of Work and Pensions at their employAbility Scotland Conference in Inverness. The event will focus on how the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) can provide support for employers to recruit, retain and develop people with disabilities and health conditions to enhance their workforce.
The event is being held at The British Legion Club, 17 King Street, Inverness IV3 5DF from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
This will be followed by a Jobs Fair for any recruiting employers from 2pm to 4pm (if you would like to participate in the Jobs Fair, please contact DWP separately at Invernessjobcentre.firstname.lastname@example.org).
DWP is working in partnership with many stakeholders to help fill a record number of vacancies, supporting customers into the labour market and helping them progress into a career.
The free conference aims to give you an opportunity to hear more about DWP’s commitment to support people with disabilities and health conditions into employment. The event will include guest speakers from DWP Disability Services Advocacy Team, Mental Health Support Service providers, Disability Confident employers, and colleagues from across our Northern District Jobcentre Plus offices.
The event agenda and details of invited speakers will be shared shortly.
