Sarah Granger, Marketing and Communications specialist at BayWa r.e said: “As a business, we are committed to actively connecting with local communities and are therefore looking forward to working with the Inverness Chamber of Commerce in supporting businesses across the Highlands & Islands wherever we can. BayWa r.e. work on every stage of the wind farm life cycle in the Highlands from early development through to construction and operations. We intend to work with the Chamber of Commerce to identify and promote local contracting and training opportunities throughout the region. We are currently developing an extension to the operational Corriegarth Wind Farm in Gorthleck, approximately 15km north-east of Fort Augustus and 10km south-east of Foyers. Following consent and prior to construction we plan to create a register of local businesses which we will refer to during the construction phase.”
