A care home in Grantown-on-Spey has achieved its highest-ever Care Inspectorate rating following an unannounced inspection.
Inspectors awarded Lynemore a Grade 5 – Very Good – for supporting residents’ wellbeing, praising the team’s compassionate approach to care. The report said staff treated residents with “compassion, dignity and respect” and that people benefited from a team that worked well together.
Inspectors also highlighted the home’s strong communication with relatives, effective relationships with healthcare professionals and personalised support plans.
Residents and relatives were equally positive about the care they receive. One resident told inspectors, “I can’t speak too highly of the staff; there is nothing they wouldn’t do for you.”
A family member added, “I think they’ve been amazing; I cannot rate them highly enough.”
The report also recognised the home’s relaxed mealtimes, varied programme of activities and skilled nursing and care team, noting that residents’ healthcare needs were well managed and regularly reviewed.
