Tuminds and TSI Moray, recently conducted a three-part training series called AI for Impact, enabling third-sector and socially enterprising practitioners in Moray to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to increase productivity and impact. Over 30 people from local organisations, charities and community groups attended the workshops, led by Rene Looper, founder and managing director of Tuminds Ltd. Tuminds is an Inverness-based firm which helps businesses adopt AI and digital marketing strategies to streamline operations, boost efficiency, and improve communication and decision-making.
The sessions guided participants through the fast-evolving world of AI and explored how AI can be applied in practical and meaningful ways, breaking down complexities to show how it can be implemented into day-to-day tasks.
Rene Looper, founder and managing director of Tuminds Ltd commented, “Partnering with TSI Moray has been an excellent way to help third sector organisations understand what AI can do for them. Those participating in the sessions had a real desire to learn and understand more about how AI can support their operations. Whilst some were completely new to the technology, others had already begun exploring it with success. There are many AI tools available that can assist with data management, planning, customer engagement and automation of repetitive tasks. However, for those new to AI, knowing where to start can be challenging. That’s why it was important to demonstrate real-time applications of AI, allowing participants to experience these tools firsthand and build their confidence in using them. Our goal was to make AI approachable and useful, freeing up time so charities and community groups can spend less time on admin and more time on the work that matters most.”
TSI Moray is a local charity and the Third Sector Interface (TSI) for Moray, connecting local charities, community groups, volunteers and voluntary organisations with a range of strategic partners to build the capacity of Moray’s third sector and communities.
Edward Fitsell, third sector development officer, social enterprise at TSI Moray said, “Rene’s sessions were fantastic. He managed to create an inclusive, engaging learning experience that worked whether participants were new to AI or already exploring its potential. The feedback has been great with attendees reporting that they feel more confident using AI tools and many are now planning to integrate this technology into their organisations.”
