Team Norscot has gone the extra mile – and then some – in support of their Charity of the Year, Maggie’s Highland.
What began as a virtual challenge to walk 110 miles – the distance between Norscot’s Inverness and Bower branches – turned into a remarkable team effort. Over the months of May and June, staff collectively walked 844.14 miles, smashing their target more than sevenfold.
The team also raised a fantastic £310 to help support people affected by cancer across the Highlands. A special shoutout goes to Carla, who raised £170 as the team’s top fundraiser.
To boost their mileage and team spirit, several members also took on the climb up Ben Braggie, a local landmark near Golspie — adding a scenic challenge to their efforts.
Top walkers included:
- Sharmina – 212.70 miles
- Chris – 175.80 miles
- Carla – 147.40 miles
Team Leader Eleanor Hargrave said, “I am incredibly proud of the team. Everyone got involved and pushed themselves for a great cause. It’s been inspiring to see such dedication and community spirit come together in support of Maggie’s.”
