Inverness-based estate and letting agency Tailormade Moves has expanded its lettings portfolio by over 200 properties following the acquisition of Scottish Highland Property Services (SHP). The move marks a major milestone for the independent firm, enhancing its presence across Inverness and Ross-shire and uniting two respected Highland property names known for quality, care, and community focus.
The acquisition follows the retirement of SHP founder, Ewen Smith, who has spent nearly 40 years in the property industry — 33 of those building SHP into a trusted and respected name across the Highlands.
“After nearly 40 years in the property industry, I’ve finally been persuaded to retire,” said Ewen Smith, founder of SHP. “Like SHP, Tailormade Moves are a locally owned, independent firm, not a franchise or part of a national group, and I chose them specifically for their shared values, commitment to customer service and strong local connections. I wanted to ensure my staff had a business to go to, and that all my clients would continue to receive the same great service.” As part of the transition, three SHP team members — Liz, Lorraine, and John — have joined Tailormade Moves, bringing decades of combined experience and strong client relationships. They continue in their roles from The Green House, Beechwood Business Park, Inverness, ensuring a smooth transition for landlords and tenants alike.
