Overview
Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) is the Scottish Government’s Youth Employment strategy to better prepare young people for the world of work.
The employer-led Developing the Young Workforce Regional Groups set up across Scotland are connecting employers with education.
Our work also supports the delivery of the Young Person’s Guarantee. Employers can find more information here or get in touch with us to discuss how you can get involved.
The DYW Inverness & Central Highland group (DYWICH) is hosted by Inverness Chamber of Commerce and consists of private and public employers, education and career specialists. DYWICH is supported by an operations team and has a dedicated School Coordinator in every secondary school in the Inverness and Central Highland area. We engage with schools, colleges, Skills Development Scotland, partner organisations and employers to develop partnerships that better prepare our young people for the world of work by inspiring, raising awareness and experiencing the work of the future, with more information about likely careers, experience in the workplace, and apprenticeships; effectively realising more job opportunities for our young people.
