- Improvements to services planned from 25 May 2026
- Focus on reliability, connectivity and customer experience
- Long-term investment to support communities across the region
Stagecoach North Scotland has today outlined a clear roadmap to strengthen bus services across the region, with a programme of improvements set to be introduced from 25 May 2026.
The plans will focus on improving reliability, enhancing connectivity and delivering a better overall experience for customers across the Highlands, Moray, Aberdeenshire and Orkney.
The announcement marks the first phase of a wider programme of work to ensure services are operating efficiently and meeting the needs of the communities they serve.
David Beaton, Managing Director for Stagecoach North Scotland, said, “Over the past few years, we recognise that delivering the level of service our customers expect has at times been challenging. We have taken the time to fully understand the issues that have impacted performance, and we are now implementing a clear and structured plan to address them.
We have a strong and proven track record of serving communities across the north of Scotland, and this work is focused on ensuring we return to operating at the high standards people rightly expect of us.
Our ambition is to be the trusted bus operator for the Highlands, Moray, Aberdeenshire and Orkney. We understand that many communities rely on our services every day, and with more than 50 years of experience, we know how important it is to deliver services that are reliable, consistent and accessible.
These improvements are an important step in that journey, and we will continue to keep customers and stakeholders informed as further details are confirmed in the coming weeks.”
Further information on specific service improvements will be announced ahead of their introduction in May.
