Local and award-winning business Simpsons has raised £11,000 for The Archie Foundation through its annual festive Ladies Night. Over 300 guests attended the annual sell-out event, where everyone was treated to a fun night of music, cocktails, pampering, Christmas shopping, delicious festive food and more.
Simpsons, who celebrated their 25th birthday earlier this year, kicked off the evening with guests being piped into the garden centre followed by festive songs from the Military Wives choir, which was an absolute treat for everyone.
Siobhan MacBean, Marketing Manager at Simpsons Garden Centre, said, “This year’s Festive Ladies Night was an evening full of festive fun, supporting a great local charity. As this is Simpsons 25th birthday year we had some special additions to the evening which were enjoyed by everyone who came along.
This event is one of the highlights of our calendar. It’s a great way to kick off the festive season as well as support such an important local charity. The Archie Foundation also celebrate their 25th birthday this year, so this was a lovely joint celebration for us both!
We’re unbelievably thankful to our suppliers and local businesses that so generously support the event year on year – from providing welcome drinks and raffle prizes to food sampling and items for our goody bags.
The whole team at Simpsons are proud to support the vital work done by The Archie Foundation and by raising £11,000 through this event, we hope this will help the charity continue to support many families across the Highlands and Islands.”

Neil McGregor, Archie’s Business Development and Fundraising Manager for the Highlands, said, “We are so grateful to the team at Simpson’s for organising this fantastic event, which was so generously supported and raised an incredible total. The proceeds from the night will support families going through the most difficult moments of their lives, whether that’s during a visit to hospital or a bereavement.
All money will go directly to supporting Archie’s work across the Highlands and Islands, helping us to provide essential emotional and financial support to babies, children and their families during their most challenging times.”
Archie has helped children and families across the north of Scotland for 25 years, funding specialist roles and projects at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital and, more recently, at Highland Children’s Unit at Raigmore Hospital, Tayside Children’s Hospital and Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin.
