Local award-winning business Simpsons raised £10,000 for Cash for Kids through its annual festive ladies night. Over 300 guests attended their annual sell-out ‘Ladies Festive Evening’, where everyone was treated to a fun evening of music, cocktails, pampering, Christmas shopping and delicious festive food.
The evening kicked off with Christmas Carols and festive songs from the Military Wives choir, which was an absolute treat for everyone.
Siobhan MacBean, Marketing Manager at Simpsons Garden Centre said: “We were delighted to welcome the 300 ladies who came along to support our annual Festive Ladies Night and our first for Cash for Kids. There was such a brilliant atmosphere with everyone in fine spirits throughout the evening!
“It’s a busy time of year for everyone, so by having an evening where everyone can relax, have a pamper and enjoy chatting with friends – as well as support such an important local charity – is a great way to start the festive season. This event is one of the highlights of our festive calendar.
“We’re unbelievably thankful to our suppliers and the local businesses that so generously supported the event; providing welcome drinks to raffle prizes and food sampling to items for our goody bags.
“By raising £10,000 on the night we hope this will help towards the charity meeting their increased demand to support families across Inverness, Highlands and Moray this festive season. The whole team at Simpsons are proud to support the vital work done by Cash for Kids, who play such an important role in the local community”.
Charity Manager Lyndsay Rose said: “We are delighted to be the nominated charity for all the Christmas activity at Simpsons and have been totally blown away by the amount raised at Ladies Night. £10,000 will allow us to provide gifts and support 166 children this Christmas.
“We’re working closely with Social Services, schools and other charities to identify the families who need our support the most. Many are working but are struggling to put food on the table and pay the rent so everyday essentials have to be forgotten about – thankfully with support of local businesses, like Simpsons, we can change this”.
