RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW: Belladrum unveils blockbuster 2027 main stage headliners

An iconic ‘Highland homecoming’ for Fatboy Slim, unfinished business for James, and the return of Scottish superstar Amy Macdonald, as Belladrum reveals all three main stage 2027 headliners.

Hailed by The Telegraph as the ‘Scottish Glastonbury’, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival has announced its complete trio of mainstage headliners for 2027, with JAMES, FATBOY SLIM and AMY MACDONALD set to top the bill across three huge nights in the Scottish Highlands next summer. James will close Belladrum’s opening night on Thursday 29 July, before global dance icon Fatboy Slim takes over the Hothouse Main Stage on Friday 30 July, in what organisers have described as one of the biggest bookings in the festival’s history. Scottish superstar Amy Macdonald will then bring Belladrum 2027 to a close on Saturday 31 July.

It’s a heavyweight trio of bookings, each with their own special connection to Belladrum and the Highlands. Fatboy Slim makes his first Highland festival appearance in 14 years, returning to an area where he helped create some of Scotland’s most legendary festival moments. James will get the chance to complete some unfinished business following their eleventh-hour cancellation in 2026. And Amy Macdonald returns exactly 20 years after her Belladrum debut – and one day after the 20th anniversary of her breakthrough album, This Is The Life.

Belladrum Festival Producer Dougie Brown said, “We said earlier this summer that we had booked our biggest headliner ever, and it’s been incredibly difficult keeping this one quiet. To finally reveal Fatboy Slim alongside two other incredible headliners in James and Amy Macdonald feels pretty special – three very different artists, but each with an incredible connection to our audience. This is only the beginning – we think 2027 is going to be a very special weekend.”

The announcement follows another hugely successful year for the Highland festival, with demand for Belladrum 2027 already strong. The festival recorded its strongest ticket launch since the pandemic, with Early Bird tickets selling out in just 16 minutes, while the 2026 event itself finished just short of a complete sell-out. With James, Fatboy Slim and Amy Macdonald now confirmed across the festival’s three headline nights, Belladrum 2027 is already shaping up to be one of its biggest editions yet, with further artist announcements set to follow. Belladrum Festival welcomes over 300 artists across its 14 stages, alongside a dedicated wellness and entertainment programme covering family friendly activities, art, spoken word, theatre, comedy and so much more.
