Inverness Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce that renowned property expert and broadcaster Phil Spencer will headline the 2026 Highland Business Dinner, one of the most highly anticipated events in the Highlands’ business calendar.
Best known as the long-standing co-presenter of Channel 4’s Location, Location, Location, Phil Spencer brings more than two decades of insight into the UK property market, housing trends, and the forces shaping how and where we live. A trained surveyor, successful entrepreneur and founder of property advisory platform Move iQ, Phil’s experience spans television, publishing, business, and charitable work. He was recently made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the New Year’s Honours in recognition of his charitable services and his role as a patron of St Mungo’s, the homelessness charity.
The Highland Business Dinner, supported by Nevis Range as Principal Sponsor, brings together senior leaders and decision makers from across the region to connect, reflect and explore the issues shaping the Highlands’ economic future.
Phil’s keynote address is expected to mix insight on national and regional housing trends with entertaining stories from his career on television, including behind-the-scenes moments with his long-time on-screen partner Kirstie Allsopp.
The keynote address is proudly supported by Brodies LLP, this year’s Speaker Sponsor, whose expertise across planning, development, infrastructure and the built environment places them at the heart of many of the issues shaping housing and growth across the Highlands.
Phil Spencer said, “I’m really looking forward to joining the Highland Business Dinner and spending time with the region’s business community. While I’ll touch on housing trends, I’m also keen to share some lighter, comical moments and behind-the-scenes stories from my time on television, working with Kirstie and meeting people across the UK. I hope the audience enjoys both the insight and the entertainment.”
Colin Marr, Chief Executive of Inverness Chamber of Commerce, welcomed the announcement, “We are absolutely delighted to confirm Phil Spencer as our keynote speaker for the 2026 Highland Business Dinner. Phil combines deep professional expertise with an exceptional ability to communicate complex matters in an engaging and accessible way. Housing is a critical issue for our economy, workforce and communities, and Phil’s perspective – informed by decades at the heart of the UK property market – will add real value to the conversations our members and stakeholders are having across the Highlands.”
He added, “The Highland Business Dinner is about more than celebration – it’s about ideas, leadership and looking ahead. Phil’s address will challenge, inspire, and entertain, while helping to frame key issues facing businesses and communities alike. We are also grateful to Brodies LLP, our Speaker Sponsor, for supporting an event that creates space for meaningful discussion on topics that matter deeply to our economy and communities.”
Taking place in Inverness, the Highland Business Dinner is a flagship event for the Chamber, attracting hundreds of guests from across the public and private sectors.
Sarah Lilley, Partner at Brodies LLP, said, “We are proud to support the Highland Business Dinner as Speaker Sponsor and to be associated with a conversation that goes to the heart of sustainable economic growth in the Highlands. Housing, infrastructure and place-based development are critical to the long-term success of rural and regional economies, and we are sure that Phil Spencer will bring the benefit of his considerable experience to add insight and real value to discussions taking place across the business community.”
