Parklands Launches Recruitment Drive Ahead of New Inverness Care Home Opening

Parklands Care Homes has launched a recruitment drive ahead of the opening of its new £11 million care home in Inverness.

Pittyvaich, situated in Milton of Leys, is due to welcome its first residents in mid-June. The 58-bed care home is the first to be built in Inverness in five years and represents a significant investment in the city’s care infrastructure. Around 120 roles will be created across management, care, nursing, catering, housekeeping and other essential support services.

Parklands – which was shortlisted for Employer of the Year at the 2024 Highland Business Awards – is encouraging people from all backgrounds and levels of experience to apply.

Jaime McNab, manager of Pittyvaich Care Home, said, “This is a major investment in social care in Inverness, and we’re focused on building a strong team of compassionate, caring individuals.

“We have a wide range of full and part-time roles to suit people with different backgrounds and experience levels. What matters most is having a genuine passion for supporting older people. Pittyvaich will be Parklands’ flagship home in the Highlands, and we want people who take real pride in delivering excellent care. We’ve already interviewed some outstanding candidates, but we’re still keen to hear from others who may be interested in joining our team.”

Ron Taylor, Managing Director of Parklands Care Homes, said, “We’re excited to be nearing the finish point on this major project. Pittyvaich is set to be a fantastic asset for Inverness – a modern, purpose-built home that will help meet growing demand for high-quality care in the city. With over 30 years of investment in the care sector, we don’t just offer jobs – we offer meaningful careers with real opportunities for development and progression.”
