Ron Taylor, Managing Director of Parklands Care Homes, said, “This is a proud moment for Parklands. These nominations highlight the dedication of our teams – from frontline carers to activities coordinators and support staff – all working together to enrich the lives of those we care for. It’s their combined efforts that make our homes so special.”

Parklands is also a finalist in the HealthInvestor Awards for Residential Elderly Care Provider of the Year in recognition of its sustained investment in care provision.

Over the past decade, Parklands has built two new homes in the Highlands and expanded further by acquiring three homes in Moray and Aberdeenshire, ensuring stability for residents and staff. Next month, the company will open Pittyvaich, its new flagship care home in Inverness. As the largest purpose-built care home in the Parklands group, it will create around 120 jobs and provide a home for 58 residents.

Ron Taylor added, “I am pleased that our commitment to invest in care capacity across the north and north-east has been recognised. With a growing elderly population and declining care provision – the Highlands alone have lost over 200 beds in recent years – our investment has never been more urgent. The opening of our flagship care home in Inverness next month highlights our commitment to addressing this shortage and investing in local communities.”
