This month (March 2024), we held a Maximise Your Membership session for a mix of new and existing members looking to gain a fuller understanding of all the benefits included in their Chamber membership. This also offered a relaxed and informal opportunity to meet with Chamber, Developing the Young Workforce Inverness & Central Highland (DYWICH) colleagues and other members over a coffee and a pastry.
As well as covering the full range of membership benefits, the Chamber team presented on forthcoming events, international trade services and opportunities to connect and work with DYWICH.
From HR, H&S and legal and tax support to health plan, international support and exporting services – there is so much that being a Chamber member offers on top of connecting with your local business community through events, training and national representation through our Chamber networks and media.
In attendance was Emma Paterson from Clava Mains, Mark Williams from HRI Munro Architecture, Jack Howell & Dylan Spink from Chance Recruitment, Michael Parkes from Erskine Veterans Charity, Neil Jones from Beauly Laundrette, and Robert Robertson from Portakabin.
Jack, Director at Chance Recruitment, a new Chamber member found the session useful, saying, “The maximise your membership was a great insight into what the chamber has to offer, it made us realise just how much we can utilise our membership as well as what we can do for the likes of DYW. It was an excellent morning and was certainly worth going to.”
Emma from Clava Mains, a new member, said, “What a great introduction to the Inverness Chamber of Commerce! Paula, Eilidh, Changu and Gregor were able to pack a lot of information into a short period of time – and also highlighted so many of the services and connections that are available via the Chamber of Commerce and DYW. We look forward to making the most of them!”
Eilidh Alexander, Head of Membership at Inverness Chamber, said, “It was great to see this turn out of new and existing members, excited to find out more about how the Chamber can connect, support and represent them. A big part of how we can help businesses to grow is through our profile-raising opportunities, whether that’s social media shares, a feature in The Pulse weekly news digest or becoming our ‘Member of the Week’. There were some great conversations happening after the presentation and some instant connections made!”
If you are an existing member looking to better utilise your benefits, book onto our next Maximise Membership event taking place on Wednesday 25th May, by emailing eilidh@inverness-chamber.co.uk or booking online here.
