Inverness-based IT company The Apprentice Store has rebranded as WePurpose as it marks its tenth anniversary this year. The organisation provides Managed IT support, Cybersecurity advice and Web Development services to businesses and charities across the UK.
The rebrand introduces a new WePurpose group structure designed to strengthen its commercial services, wider mission, and fuel growth. Under this model, WePurpose Technology will operate as the commercial IT services company delivering professional technology solutions to organisations, while WePurpose is the charitable arm focusing on creating employment pathways for people who face barriers to entering the workforce. Profits from the commercial activity will help fund this work, allowing the organisation to grow the business and expand its impact.
Founded in 2016 and currently with nine staff members, over the years the organisation has successfully employed and trained 29 people, most of whom have gone on to carve out very successful careers in the IT industry.
The organisation hosts its annual WePurpose Supporter Awards, which celebrate businesses fuelling its continued growth by purchasing services or referring work, supporting more than one week of an apprentice’s salary. Businesses contributing to 25% of a salary or more are awarded Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum diamonds.
