Inverness Castle Experience Seeks Mobile Food and Ice Cream Concessions

The Inverness Castle Experience invites applications for two exciting concession opportunities within the grounds of the upcoming visitor experience in Inverness, set to open in late summer 2025.

The Inverness Castle project is part of the Inverness and Highland City-Region Deal, a joint initiative supported by up to £315m investment from the UK and Scottish governments, The Highland Council, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the University of the Highlands and Islands, aimed at stimulating sustainable regional economic growth.

Two outdoor concessions are now open for expressions of interest.

Located within the Castle grounds near the Saltire Bistro, these mobile concessions will offer high-quality refreshments as an integral part of the visitor experience.

What we are looking for:

  • Professionally presented mobile units that meet all current health and hygiene regulations
  • Traders can deliver a high standard of service in line with the spirit and values of the attraction
  • Willingness to agree on the final location with High Life Highland before opening
  • Service primarily during peak season (April to September), with potential year-round trade

To express an interest:

Please email hlh.business.support@highlifehighland.com with the subject line: ‘Inverness Castle Experience – food Concession Agreement’, OR ‘Inverness Castle Experience – Ice Cream Concession Agreement’. Include the name of your unit and your contact details in the body of the email.

Deadline to submit a Note of Interest: Monday 26 May 2025

Full tender details will be issued to all interested parties on Monday, 2nd June 2025, with a final submission deadline of Monday, 16th June 2025.

The Inverness Castle Experience project, opening later this year, will benefit from £30m in investment to support its redevelopment from the Scottish and UK governments, The Highland Council, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, and a range of other partners.
