The Inverness Castle Experience is excited to announce the commencement of a major recruitment drive. It is seeking to appoint approximately 60-65 passionate individuals (including seasonal and part-time) to join the team ahead of the highly anticipated opening later this year. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a landmark project, bringing the captivating stories of the Highlands to life.
The Inverness Castle project is part of the Inverness and Highland City-Region Deal, a joint initiative supported by up to £315m investment from the UK and Scottish governments, The Highland Council, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the University of the Highlands and Islands, aimed at stimulating sustainable regional economic growth.
The Inverness Castle Experience is seeking individuals who are keen to deliver an experience that is both memorable and meaningful and reflects the rich Highland heritage.
Roles available span a variety of areas, including visitor experience, retail, catering, and operations. They are looking for individuals who can offer outstanding customer service and love a dynamic work environment, contributing to a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for all our visitors. Whether you’re a seasoned professional or looking for a new and exciting challenge, we encourage you to apply.
Councillor Ian Brown, Co-Chair Inverness Castle Delivery Group, Highland Council’s Inverness City Leader, said, “This level of recruitment represents a significant investment in the Highland economy, creating numerous opportunities for residents to join a landmark project and contribute directly to the region’s cultural and economic future. Crucially, it also aims to retain our talented workforce within the Highlands, offering fulfilling career paths and preventing the loss of valuable skills to other regions.”
Michael Golding, Chair of High Life Highland’s Board of Directors, highlighted, “We’re thrilled to take this next step and provide a truly unique opportunity for individuals to join this exciting new attraction from the beginning. High Life Highland welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and provides an inclusive environment, where people are valued while being empowered to play a role in delivering world-class experiences.”
Garry Marsden, Head of Inverness Castle Experience, added, “We are determined to foster a team that is as passionate about the Highlands as we are.”
“We want to empower our staff to be bold in their roles, to innovate and to provide a truly authentic and welcoming experience for our guests. This isn’t just a job; it’s a chance to be part of something truly special, to connect with visitors from around the world, and to showcase the very best of our community. We are building a team that is community-spirited, and we are excited to see the diverse applications come in over the coming months.”
Prospective candidates are invited to come along to three informal recruitment days in May at 4 Castle Wynd (next to the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery). These open days will provide an opportunity to meet the management team, chat about job roles and gain insight into this exciting new Highland attraction. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend and discover the potential for career development within this significant cultural attraction. No need to book.
