Inverness-based Aurora targets $50m Americas revenues with renewables heavyweight talking helm

Aurora Energy Services (Aurora) has appointed Bryan Loveless as President Americas as it gears up for major expansion across the renewable energy, data centres and electrification sectors.

Bryan has an excellent track record across the wind, solar and battery storage space and joins Aurora from BHE Renewables where he was Vice President responsible for its wind and solar business. During his 14-year career in the energy sector he also held senior engineering, planning and construction roles at MidAmerican Energy.

Inverness-headquartered Aurora’s annual revenues in the Americas of approximately $30 million is forecast to exceed $50 million in 2027 supported by growth in existing markets and expansion into new territories. It currently has several bases in Texas, is looking to add a third US site, and longer-term will boost its South American presence with facilities in Brazil to mirror its existing Chile operation.

Aurora Energy Services Chief Executive Officer, Doug Duguid, said, “Bryan’s depth of experience across renewable energy and strong leadership skills will help us achieve our growth objectives in the Americas. His understanding of the importance of safety and ability to motivate teams were important factors in making this appointment.

“Our existing wind business is substantial but we want to grow our blade repair and generator repair services, while developing new opportunities such as in major component exchange and generator overhaul projects.”

Data centre construction work, which is forecast to boom, is another target where Aurora can tap into its wind, solar and battery storage experience and a global reputation in electrification projects.

Doug Duguid added, “In terms of revenue our activities in Europe and Australia lead the way but the scale and potential of the Americas market could in time transform our business and become our largest single market.”

Bryan Loveless said, “I was aware of Aurora’s reputation in the market for safety first, and a can-do approach to offering practical solutions without compromising on quality. I am looking forward to the opportunity to grow a business that has a strong foundation with lots of untapped potential.

“The US wind sector has considerable room for growth and there is a substantial market for maintaining and repairing ageing wind turbines. Allied to the AI-driven data centre demand, Aurora is in a great position to combine our renewables experience with our electrical services expertise to fully exploit this new-market opportunity.”

Aurora confirmed it would recruit additional frontline staff and crews to support its expansion programme in key US locations.
