CBAM Regulations (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism)
The EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) continues to present a significant and growing challenge for internationally trading businesses, with increasing demand for clear, trusted advice as reporting requirements evolve.
Since 1 January 2026, CBAM has entered its definitive phase, with EU importers increasingly required to report accurate, product-specific emissions data for in-scope goods. As a result, many EU customers are now requesting more detailed emissions information from their suppliers.
ChamberCustoms are offering a CBAM service to support businesses through a discovery audit, calculation and monitoring strategy. This service provides:
- A review of current emissions data and recording practices
- Reporting approach aligned with EU customer and importer requirements
- Calculated emissions figures ready to share with EU customers
