ILM Highland Shortlisted For Four National Awards In Its 31st Year

As ILM Highland celebrates its 31st year, we are proud to have been shortlisted for four prestigious awards that reflect our commitment to purposeful business, community impact, and sustainability.

For us, these nominations are about more than recognition. They highlight the power of social enterprise to deliver meaningful outcomes for people, communities, and the environment. Our journey over three decades shows that a business model built on social purpose can create long-lasting impact while also contributing to a stronger regional economy.

This year, ILM Highland has been shortlisted for:

  • Highland Council Award for Purposeful Business – Highlands & Islands Business Excellence Awards 2025, Inverness.
  • Scotland Reuse Organisation of the Year – Reuse Network Awards 2025, Glasgow.
  • Outstanding Community Engagement Award – Inverness Chamber of Commerce Awards 2025, Inverness.
  • Environmental Social Enterprise Award – Social Enterprise Scotland Awards 2025, Glasgow.

These nominations reflect the efforts of our dedicated staff, volunteers, and partners who make it possible for us to deliver services that matter — from reusing and recycling goods to supporting vulnerable people to live safely at home.

Being shortlisted for awards across the Highlands, Islands, and national stage reinforces our belief that enterprise can and should serve a bigger purpose. It shows that sustainability, inclusion, and community benefit can sit at the heart of business strategy.

As we look to the future, ILM Highland remains committed to working with partners, customers, and communities to deliver even greater impact. These nominations are a celebration of the collective effort it takes to create change — and a reminder that doing business differently really does make a difference.
