From Pledge to Practice

Following the recent launch of Developing the Young Workforce Inverness & Central Highlands (DYWICH)‘s new Pledge Partner campaign, creative agency Dynam is demonstrating how you can take meaningful action.

Having signed the DYW Pledge earlier this month, Dynam has been actively supporting young people across the region through a range of engagement opportunities that introduce students to the creative industries and the variety of careers available in marketing and design.

Most recently, Dynam’s Marketing Manager, Lauren, took part in Millburn Academy’s S2 marketing and design project as a competition judge. Students were challenged to design and market a new bakery concept, developing a business name, logo, branding, business cards and a marketing campaign. The project gave students an opportunity to apply creative thinking while gaining insight into the real process behind building a brand.

Dynam is also preparing for its next opportunity to engage with students through Culloden Academy’s Careers Fair in June. Rather than taking a traditional approach, the agency is developing creative activities to encourage students to think differently about marketing and design careers and to showcase the range of skills involved in the industry.

Lauren, Marketing Manager at Dynam said, “Marketing and design are often seen as just social media or advertising, but there are so many different skills and career paths within the industry. Engaging with students early and giving them practical experiences helps bring those opportunities to life.”

For Dynam, supporting young people is not just about recruitment; it is about helping students understand industries they may not otherwise consider and building stronger links between education and business.

As organisations across the Highlands continue to support DYW initiatives, practical engagement between employers and young people will play an important role in helping shape the future of the workforce.
