Erskine Veterans Charity, celebrating its 110th anniversary in 2026, is inviting the community to a fun-packed Quiz Night at the Elgin Ex-Servicemen’s Club on Friday, 17th April 2026.

The event arrives during a week of military celebration, coinciding with the historic Spitfire tour visiting nearby RAF Lossiemouth on 9th April, marking the 90th anniversary of the iconic aircraft’s first flight.
The evening promises a great atmosphere for friends and families, featuring a quiz, raffles, prizes, and music. Doors open at 6:30pm with the quiz kicking off at 7:30pm. Teams of up to six people can enter, with tickets priced at just £5 per person.
All funds raised from the evening will directly support the Erskine Veterans Activity Centre (EVAC) North in Forres. Since opening, the centre has provided a vital lifeline to almost 700 veterans across the Northeast, offering a space for veterans to reconnect, learn new skills, and access dedicated support to combat social isolation.
Michael Parkes, Erskine’s Fundraising and Development Manager (North), said, “We are thrilled to bring the community together for what promises to be a fantastic night in Elgin. Our veterans have given so much, and seeing the public turn out to support them is heartwarming, especially as we celebrate 110 years of Erskine Veterans Charity.
EVAC North must raise £500,000 in voluntary income each year to keep our doors open. The money raised will help us continue our vital work in Forres, including services and activities such as counselling, massage therapy, financial advice, art therapy, and a gym. The Quiz Night is sure to recreate the camaraderie of EVAC North.”
Tickets are available for purchase at the Elgin Ex-Servicemen’s Club, the Erskine Veterans Activity Centre in Forres, or at the door on the night of the event.
