Erskine Hosts Veterans’ Marketplace Event in Forres

Erskine Veterans Charity welcomed a wide range of partner organisations to its Veterans Activity Centre (EVACN) in Forres for a special Veterans’ Marketplace Event, giving veterans the chance to connect directly with support services and community resources.

The event brought together key organisations supporting the Armed Forces community, including Sight Scotland Veterans, Royal British Legion, Vector 24, RAF Benevolent Fund, RAFA, SSAFA, and local authority representatives. Kathleen Robertson, Leader of The Moray Council, also attended, giving veterans a direct opportunity to raise local concerns and community issues.

The marketplace offered veterans attending the recently opened Forres Centre a valuable opportunity to learn more about available services, ask questions, and seek guidance or referrals in a relaxed, supportive setting.

Shaun Moat, Chair of the Members Committee, said: “It was great to see so many veteran charities attending the centre, giving members the chance to find out more about the organisations and discuss any help they needed. It was also good to see local councillor and Leader of The Moray Council, Kathleen Robertson, and members got to address some local concerns directly with her.”

Erskine’s Veterans Activity Centres in Forres and Bishopton play a vital role in providing social connection, wellbeing activities, and access to services for ex-service men and women across Scotland. Events like this reinforce the value of collaboration in ensuring no veteran is left behind. Erskine extends sincere thanks to all partner organisations and guests who attended and looks forward to building even stronger relationships in support of veterans across the region.
