RW Bell has awarded their major digital transformation contract to Teoma. This Highland partnership will put AI Technology at the heart of a full end-to-end transformation of RW Bell’s commercial and operations processes. The fully integrated platform will modernise the company’s Building Services and Green Energy operations.
RW Bell prides itself on being a family-run company that carries out all its work in-house, where every enquiry gets a site survey, and every proposal is signed off by a director. Each installation passes through many stage gates, from enquiry to survey, design, proposal, funding, scheduling, installation, certification and aftercare. With more than 500 installations completed across Scotland and demand continuing to grow, managing that journey consistently for every customer calls for greater automation.
In line with its commitment to keeping on top of new technologies, RW Bell has recognised the benefits of a smoother process flow with AI capability built in. As the business grows, multi-trade scheduling and co-ordination across a large geographical area must be seamless to maintain the expected customer experience.
Greg Carruthers, Director at RW Bell, said, “Working with Teoma has been an extremely positive experience for RW Bell. Scott, Gerry and Steve have demonstrated an impressive level of knowledge, understanding and genuine commitment to our business and what we are trying to achieve.
“The discovery sessions have been particularly valuable, giving us confidence that Teoma really understands our requirements and the direction we want to take. What has been delivered so far is already exceeding our expectations, and we are genuinely excited about the opportunities the system will bring to RW Bell.
“We see this as much more than simply implementing a new business management system. Teoma are helping us develop an AI-compatible platform that will transform how we manage and grow the business, and we are very excited to see what comes next.”
Teoma is a Highlands-based consultancy; it has worked with RW Bell to understand its end-to-end processes, culture and core values. With this in mind, the solution has been scoped with an AI foundation, but key decision-making remains firmly in the directors’ hands. The joint vision is to capitalise on the improvements from both AI and a streamlined process flow, without losing the family-run ethos or director-level visibility.
Scott Fraser, Director at Teoma, said “We are delighted to be working with RW Bell. In a growing and competitive market, they chose not simply to add AI to existing systems but to build their whole operation around it. AI underpins every part of this solution. We started in the summer and have already delivered the commercial module, and it has been a privilege to develop it side by side with the leadership team.”
