New directors drive rapid growth at Inverness technology firm

Logical Print & Document Solutions becomes Culture Business Technology following investment in its people, technology and expanding service offering.

An Inverness-headquartered technology firm has doubled its team from eight to 16 employees following the expansion of its Board and continued investment in its services and technical capabilities.

Malcolm Maclennan and Josh McLennan have joined the Board of Culture Business Technology, formerly Logical Print & Document Solutions, alongside existing directors Colin Smith, Robbie Cheyne and Neil Anderson. The expanded Board brings extensive industry experience and a clear ambition to grow the independently owned Scottish business while keeping local service and customer relationships at its heart.

New supplier partnerships and continued investment in technology have expanded the company’s offering across managed IT, cybersecurity, telephony and managed print.

Investment in technical support has also strengthened its managed print capabilities, with Culture Business Technology now operating one of the largest locally based managed print service teams in the North of Scotland.

Headquartered in Inverness, with an established regional office in Aberdeen, Culture Business Technology supports businesses and organisations across the Highlands and Islands and the North East of Scotland, as well as customers nationally.

The change to Culture Business Technology reflects the evolution of the business beyond the print and document services traditionally associated with the Logical name, while retaining managed print as a core part of its offering.

Malcolm Maclennan and Josh McLennan, Directors at Culture Business Technology, said, “Culture Business Technology better reflects the business we are today and where we want to take it. We have continued to invest in our people, our technology and the services we can offer, while keeping strong local relationships at the heart of the business.

We have ambitious plans for Culture, but for us, growth is about continuing to build expertise here in the North of Scotland and ensuring customers can deal with people who know them, understand their business and can support the technology they rely on every day.”

The Culture Business Technology name brings the company’s managed IT, cybersecurity, telephony and managed print services together under one identity, supported by refreshed branding and a new website.

Colin Smith, Service Director at Culture Business Technology, said, “Logical has built strong, long-standing relationships with businesses across the North of Scotland, and we are carrying those relationships forward into Culture. The people our customers know, the local knowledge within the team and the service they rely on remain exactly where they are. What Culture gives us is the opportunity to build on that foundation, strengthen the support we provide and give customers access to a broader range of technology expertise as their own businesses continue to evolve.”

The company’s growth is also being supported by continued investment in its local infrastructure, with plans for new premises in Inverness progressing. A move is expected towards the end of 2026 or early 2027, subject to completion of the plans.

Ross Ingram, Head of Finance at Harbro Limited, said, “Since transitioning our Managed Print and Hybrid Mail services to Culture, we have seen a clear improvement in both service quality and overall value. Their proactive approach, quick response times and automated toner replenishment have reduced much of the day-to-day burden of managing our print environment, while Hybrid Mail has streamlined our outbound communications and reduced administrative effort.

“Overall, we have achieved approximately 20% savings on print-related expenditure. It is reassuring to work with a local partner that understands our business and is committed to helping us operate more efficiently, and we would confidently recommend their Managed Print and Hybrid Mail services to other organisations.”
