Mikeysline and Kingsmills Hotel’s Powerful Partnership Continues to Support Mental Health Despite ‘Challenging Financial Climate.’

Mikeysline is proud to celebrate an incredible and longstanding partnership with the Kingsmills Hotel, which has now raised over £289,000 in vital funds to support mental health services across the Highlands.

The Inverness hotel has been instrumental in supporting Mikeysline to jointly deliver a series of highly successful fundraising events, bringing together local businesses, sponsors, and supporters from across the region, demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting mental health and suicide prevention in the community.

The partnership began in 2022 with a hugely successful golf day which has since become a firm fixture in the local calendar. The team has now delivered five major Golf Days – hosted at some of the Highlands’ most iconic courses, including Royal Dornoch Championship Course, Royal Dornoch Struie Course, Nairn Golf Club, and most recently Spey Valley Championship Golf Club.

These events, along with the successful Royal Ascot Ladies Day and other fundraising endeavours, have raised a total of £289,933 in support of the mental health and suicide prevention charity.

Tony Story, Kingsmills Group CEO, said, “When I first approached the chair of Mikeysline all those years ago after we have experienced loss through friends and through work colleagues, I was determined that we could do something to support this fantastic charity.  Little did I think we would have raised more than a 1/4 of a million pounds, in just a few years.

The Kingsmills team are exceptionally passionate about supporting local charities and causes – however, we couldn’t do it without the amazing support from our community and businesses who continue to support each event with such energy and generosity.”

Mikeysline CEO, Emily Stokes, said, “We are immensely grateful to everyone at The Kingsmills Hotel for their sustained and generous support, which has been instrumental in enabling us to grow our services, reach more people in crisis, and extend vital mental health support across our local communities at a time of rising demand.

In an increasingly challenging financial climate for both charities and businesses, this partnership exemplifies what can be achieved when organisations unite with a shared purpose. The Kingsmills Hotel’s commitment goes far beyond fundraising — it sends a powerful and compassionate message that mental health matters, and that it’s ok not to be ok.”

Following on from the success of most recent Golf Day fundraiser in Aviemore, Mikeysline and The Kingmills look forward to hosting their upcoming Royal Ascot Ladies Day on June 18than afternoon of food and drink, races and live entertainment.

This event is almost sold out and final tables and tickets can be booked by emailing beethechange@mikesyline.co.uk.
