Are you a qualified accountant or financial director? Do you want to play a key role in shaping the future of business in the Highlands? This is your opportunity to make an impact—Inverness Chamber of Commerce is seeking a new Board Director.

Why Join the Board? This is an exciting time for Inverness Chamber of Commerce as we begin delivering our new five-year strategy. As a member-led organisation, our Directors are central to ensuring that businesses in our region are represented in decision-making, while also overseeing our strategic direction and financial performance.

At the Chamber’s 2025 AGM on Friday 25 April, our current President, Eunice McAdam, will step down at the end of her term. Eunice, a qualified accountant, has provided invaluable financial oversight and expertise during her tenure. To continue this legacy, we are inviting nominations from accountants and financial directors within our membership to join the Board.

Who Can Apply? We welcome nominations from individuals who:

  • Are qualified accountants with relevant experience.
  • Are employed by a business that has been a Chamber member for at least one year.
  • Work in either industry or an accountancy practice.
  • Have a vision for Highland businesses and ideas on how the Chamber can enhance its services.
  • Are committed to representing the broader business community, not just their own organisation.

Nomination Requirements:

  • Support from two Chamber member companies other than the nominee’s own.
  • A headshot profile picture and short biography.
  • A statement outlining why you are standing for election and the skills and experience you bring to the Board.

Election Process

If the number of nominations exceeds the number of vacancies, a ballot will be held via email before the AGM, with results announced on Friday 25 April 2025.
