Renowned Broadcaster Adrian Chiles to Headline 2025 Highland Business Dinner

Inverness Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce that Adrian Chiles, celebrated TV and radio presenter, columnist, and documentary host, will deliver the keynote address at this year’s Highland Business Dinner.

The flagship event, a highlight of the Highland business calendar, will take place on Friday 16 May 2025, at the Macdonald Drumossie Hotel, Inverness.

Best known for his work on BBC and ITV, including hosting Working Lunch, Match of the Day 2, The One Show, The Apprentice: You’re Fired and BBC Radio 5 Live, Adrian has built a distinguished career across news, sport, and business journalism. His extensive experience covering major sporting events and economic affairs, as well as his sharp wit and engaging style, promise an insightful and entertaining evening for guests.

Speaking ahead of the event, Adrian said, “I’m really looking forward to speaking at the Highland Business Dinner. I make it my business to get around the country as much as possible but I’ve spent nowhere near as much time as I’d have liked in the Highlands. Having started out as a business journalist, I’m always keen to find out about the opportunities and challenges of doing business in different areas. Particularly interesting will be the work underway contributing to the renewables revolution.

“I’ve met enough Highlanders in my time to appreciate that there is a pretty distinctive entrepreneurial spirit and I’m looking forward to drinking deeply of it! The culture, the sport, the food and the drink – I can’t wait to get a taste of it all.”

Colin Marr, Chief Executive of Inverness Chamber of Commerce, added, “The Highland Business Dinner brings together leaders, innovators, and influencers from across our region, and we’re thrilled to welcome Adrian as our keynote speaker. His unique mix of business insight, media experience, and love of sport will undoubtedly make for an entertaining and thought-provoking evening. I’m looking forward to hearing his perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing businesses today, as well as his stories travelling the world as a journalist and his thoughts on how sport can transform communities.”

The Highland Business Dinner continues to be a premier networking event, bringing together business leaders from across the Highlands to celebrate success, showcase the incredible work of local businesses, foster connections, and spark ideas that drive the region’s success.
