This week we’re celebrating Saffery! In Part 2 of their blog, learn about how they’re supporting clients after the Autumn Budget, and their top tips for Chamber membership.
Post-Budget Challenges and Looking Ahead
Following the Autumn Budget, we have published a series of content related to the announced changes and the subsequent impact on our clients. This includes a post-Budget webinar examining the Budget and the implications for individuals and businesses, an article series on what the Budget announcements mean for individuals, businesses, and UK non-doms, and finally, a podcast episode and article on the reforms to inheritance tax (specifically APR and BPR) and how this impacts businesses and landowners in the agricultural sector.
Our team has been working diligently to support our clients, offering expert advice and tailored solutions to adapt to the new financial landscape post-Budget, ensuring they’re equipped to make informed decisions.
At our Finance Directors’ Briefing 2025, we’ll be summarising and explaining some of the most important changes FDs need to be on top of across financial reporting, tax and VAT. Our briefing will help identify some of the key potential pitfalls facing FDs and will also count towards your annual CPD. The Inverness event will be held on 13 February 2025. In other plans, alongside our new Responsible Business Director, and following our inaugural Responsible Business Report, we will continue to strengthen our ESG focus and initiatives with our Sustainability and ESG service line to meet client and regulatory demands As our business continues to grow and we develop our offering, we will continue to attract and hire top talent to support opportunity and enable success for our clients.
Chamber Connections
As a member of Inverness Chamber, we greatly value the organisation’s commitment to fostering economic growth in the Highlands. The opportunity to connect with other businesses and build strong relationships with a diverse range of industry leaders is incredibly valuable. Additionally, the Chamber’s advocacy work on behalf of its members ensures a supportive business environment in the region. Being members of the Chamber has provided us with lots of opportunities to connect with other members. Eunice McAdam, current Chamber President and Audit Partner at Saffery, has really valued the chance to meet many of the businesses in our area, but also the new Under 30’s and Inside Stories events have enabled many more of our team to get involved in networking and meet their peers across the business community.
