After an 18-month project, which consisted of substantial building renovation and new equipment installation, haulage company JD Cowper is pleased to announce the opening of their new Class 4 and 7 MOT lane.
Ready to use for cars and vans, the test lane has brand new brake test equipment, a headlamp aim tester, exhaust emissions detector, and hydraulically operated shaker plates. This innovative system will detect wear in customers’ steering and suspension components which a standard MOT may miss.
The lane has the most modern equipment available, fully compliant with DVSA requirements. Classed as “connected technology, the readings are captured in real time, providing accurate testing data which is uploaded to the MOT testing service system. This saves time keying information in manually, resulting in a quicker turnaround time per MOT test.
JD Cowper have also introduced a new CCTV viewing area; rather than arranging a lift home, customers can relax with a tea or coffee, while watching their MOT in their welcoming waiting room.
